On the Virtues of the Visitors of That Noble Imam
جهت دوم: در فضائلي كه از براي زائر است به حسب حالات، و آن شانزده فضيلت است:يكي: در حالت نيت رفتن به زيارت، چنانكه از حضرت صادق (عليهالسلام) مروي است كه خداوند را ملائكهاي است كه موكلند به قبر حسين (عليهالسلام) پس چون كسي قصد زيارت آن مظلوم نمايد خداوند گناهان او را به ايشان ميدهد، پس چون يك گام برداشت همه آن گناهان را محو ميكند، پس به گام دوم حسنات او را مضاعف نمايند، و همچنين در گام سوم و چهارم، و هكذا تا اينكه بهشت او را واجب شود، و چون بعد از نيت غسل كند ندا دهد او را خاتم انبياء كه: اي مهمان خدا بشارت باد تو را كه رفيق من خواهي بود در بهشت، و ندا كند او را علي (عليهالسلام) كه: من ضامنم كه حاجات شما روا شود، و از راست و چپ او باشند تا مراجعت نمايد. [788] .دوم: حالت مهيا كردن اسباب زيارت و آن سبب خوشحالي اهل [آسمان]هاست. [789] .سوم: هر گاه چيزي صرف نمايد در مهيا كردن اسباب زيارت، پس به هر درهمي به [ صفحه 276] به قدر كوه احد حسنات به او دهند، و اضعاف او را به او رد كنند، و بلاها از او دفع شود، و در روايت ابن سنان است كه به هر درهم به او دهند هزار، و هزار هزار تا ده مرتبه، و رضاي خدا و دعاي پيغمبر (صلي الله عليه و آله) و اميرالمؤمنين و ائمهي هدي از براي او بهتر است. [790] .چهارم: چون از منزلش بيرون آمد ششصد ملك از شش جهت به مشايعت او آيند [791] .پنجم: چون به راه افتد بر هر چه قدم گذارد در حقش دعا كند [792] ، و به هر گامي هزار حسنه برايش نوشته شود [793] ، و اگر در كشتي شود و كشتي مضطرب گردد ندا رسد خوش به حال شما كه بهشت از براي شما است [794] ، و اگر سوار باشد پس بهر گامي كه مركوبش بردارد هزار حسنه از برايش نوشته ميشود. [795] .ششم: هر گاه آفتاب بر او تابد گناهانش را تمام كند چنانكه آتش هيزم ميخورد. [796] .هفتم: هر گاه از شدت گرما يا حركت عرق كند، پس در مزار كبير مروي است كه به هر عرقي هفتاد هزار ملك خلق ميشود كه از براي زوار آن حضرت استغفار مينمايند تا روز قيامت.هشتم: چون از فرات غسل كند به جهت زيارت بريزد گناهان ايشان، و ندا كند ايشان را خاتم انبياء كه: بشارت باد شما را كه رفيق من خواهيد بود در بهشت، و اميرالمؤمنين (عليهالسلام) گويد كه: من ضامن قضاء حوائج و رفع بلا از شما هستم در دنيا و آخرت چنانكه گذشت.نهم: چون به راه افتد بعد از غسل بنويسد خدا از برايش به هر قدمي كه بردارد يا بگذارد صد حج مقبول، و صد عمره مقبول، و صد جهاد كه در پيش روي پيغمبر خدا [ صفحه 277] كرده باشد با بدترين دشمنان او. [797] .دهم: چون نزديك كربلا رسد چند صنف از ملائكه به استقبال او آيند، كه از آن جمله چهار هزار ملكند كه به ياري آنسرور آمدند در روز عاشورا، و مأمور شدند كه در همان زمين بمانند، و از آن جمله هفتاد هزار ملك، و غير آن كه در عنوان ملائكه مذكور شود. On the Virtues of the Visitors of That Noble Imam
Second Aspect: Concerning the virtues granted to the visitor according to the different stages of the journey. These are sixteen virtues.
First: The state of intending to go for the visitation.
It is narrated from Imam al-Ṣādiq (ʿalayhi al-salām) that Allah has angels appointed over the grave of al-Ḥusain (ʿalayhi al-salām). When a person intends to visit that oppressed Imam, Allah entrusts his sins to those angels. Then, when he takes his first step, all those sins are erased. With the second step, his good deeds are multiplied, and likewise with the third and fourth steps, and so on until Paradise becomes obligatory for him.
Then, when he performs ghusl after making the intention, the Seal of the Prophets calls out to him:
“O guest of Allah! Glad tidings to you, for you shall be my companion in Paradise.”
And ʿAlī (ʿalayhi al-salām) calls out to him:
“I guarantee the fulfillment of your needs.”
And they remain on his right and left until he returns home. [788]
Second: The state of preparing the means for the visitation.
This causes joy among the inhabitants of the heavens. [789]
Third: Whatever a person spends in preparing for the visitation.
For every dirham he spends, he is granted good deeds equal to Mount Uḥud, and many times more than that is returned to him. Calamities are also repelled from him.
In the narration of Ibn Sinān, it is stated that for every dirham he is given one thousand rewards, then one million rewards, multiplied ten times over. Moreover, the pleasure of Allah and the supplication of the Messenger of Allah (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi), Amīr al-Muʾminīn, and the Imams of Guidance for him are even greater than that. [790]
Fourth: When he leaves his home.
Six hundred angels come from six directions to accompany him. [791]
Fifth: When he begins his journey.
Everything upon which he places his foot prays for him. [792]
For every step, one thousand good deeds are recorded for him. [793]
If he travels by ship and the ship is shaken by the waves, a call comes:
“Glad tidings to you! Paradise belongs to you.” [794]
And if he is riding an animal, then for every step taken by his mount, one thousand good deeds are written for him. [795]
Sixth: When the sun shines upon him.
His sins are consumed just as fire consumes firewood. [796]
Seventh: When he sweats because of heat or travel.
It is narrated in al-Mazār al-Kabīr that for every drop of sweat, seventy thousand angels are created who seek forgiveness for the visitors of that Imam until the Day of Resurrection.
Eighth: When he performs ghusl from the Euphrates for the purpose of visitation.
His sins fall away from him, and the Seal of the Prophets calls out:
“Glad tidings to you, for you shall be my companion in Paradise.”
And Amīr al-Muʾminīn (ʿalayhi al-salām) says:
“I guarantee the fulfillment of your needs and the removal of calamities from you in this world and the next,” as mentioned previously.
Ninth: When he proceeds toward the shrine after performing ghusl.
For every step he takes and every step he places down, Allah records for him the reward of one hundred accepted Hajjs, one hundred accepted ʿUmrahs, and one hundred jihāds performed before the Messenger of Allah against his fiercest enemies. [797]
Tenth: When he approaches Karbalā.
Various groups of angels come to welcome him.
Among them are the four thousand angels who came to assist that noble Imam on the Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ and were commanded to remain in that land.
Among them are also seventy thousand angels and other groups whose details will be mentioned later in the section concerning the angels. [798]
