44. Khatm (Completion) of Supplications and Invocations

.44 ﺧﺘﻢ ادﻋﯿﻪ و اذﮐﺎر

ادﻋﯿﻪ و اذﮐﺎري ﮐﻪ از ﺳﻮي ﭘﯿﺸﻮاﯾﺎن ﻣﻌﺼﻮم ﺑﻪ ﺗﻼوت آﻧﻬﺎ ﺑﺮاي اﻣﻮر دﯾﻨﯽ ﯾﺎ دﻧﯿﻮي اﻣﺮ ﺷـﺪه، ﺑﺴـﯿﺎر ﻓﺮاوان اﺳﺖ. ﻣﺎ در اﯾﻨﺠﺎ ﻓﻘﻂ ﺑﻪ ﺗﻌﺪادي از آﻧﻬﺎ ﮐﻪ ﺑﻪ ﺧﻮاﻧﺪن آﻧﻬﺎ ﭼﻬﻞ ﺑﺎر، ﯾﺎ ﭼﻬﻞ روز و ﯾﺎ ﭼﻬﻞ ﻫﻔﺘﻪ اﻣﺮ ﺷﺪه، اﺷﺎره ﻣﯽ ﮐﻨﯿﻢ:

(1 دﻋﺎي ﻋﻬﺪ، ﻣﺄﺛﻮر از اﻣﺎم ﺻﺎدق ﻋﻠﯿﻪ اﻟﺴـﻼم در زﻣﺎن ﻏﯿﺒﺖ ﺑﻪ ﻣﺪت ﭼﻬﻞ روز در ﺑﺎﻣﺪادان، ﺑﺮاي درك ﺣﻀﻮر و ﯾﺎ رﺟﻌﺖ ﺑﻪ ﻫﻨﮕﺎم ﻃﻠﻮع اﻣﺎم ﻧﻮر. (7)

(2 دﻋﺎي ﻣﺮوي از ﭘﯿﺎﻣﺒﺮ اﮐﺮم ﺻﻠﯽ اﷲ ﻋﻠﯿﻪ و آﻟﻪ ﺑﺮاي آﻣﺮزش ﮔﻨﺎﻫﺎن ﺑﻪ ﻣﺪت ﭼﻬﻞ ﺷﺐ ﺟﻤﻌﻪ(8).

(3 دﻋﺎي ﻣﺮوي از اﻣﯿﺮﻣﻮءﻣﻨﺎن ﻋﻠﯿﻪ اﻟﺴﻼم ﺑﺎ ﻫﻤﺎن وﯾﮋﮔﯽ(9).

(4 دﻋﺎي ﺳﺮﯾﻊ اﻻﺟﺎﺑﻪ ﻣﺮوي از ﻣﻮﻻي ﻣﺘّﻘﯿﺎن ﺑﺮاي ﺣﻞ ﻣﺸﮑﻼت ﺑﻪ ﻣﺪت

ﭼﻬﻞ ﺷﺐ ﺟﻤﻌﻪ(1).

(5 دﻋﺎي دﯾﮕﺮي از اﻣﯿﺮﻣﻮءﻣﻨﺎن ﺑﺎ ﻫﻤﺎن وﯾﮋﮔﯽ ﮐﻪ ﺑﻪ اوﯾﺲ ﻗﺮﻧﯽ ﺗﻌﻠﯿﻢ ﻓﺮﻣﻮد(2). (s ﺧﺘﻢ ﭼﻬﻞ ﺣﻤﺪ ﺑﺮاي ﺷﻔﺎي ﺑﯿﻤﺎر ﻣﺄﺛﻮر از ﭘﯿﺎﻣﺒﺮ اﮐﺮم ﺻﻠﯽ اﷲ ﻋﻠﯿﻪ و آﻟﻪ (3). (7 ﺧﺘﻢ ﭼﻬﻞ ﺣﻤﺪ ﺑﺮاي ﻋﻘﺮب زدﮔﯽ(4).

(8 دﻋﺎي ﻣﺮوي از اﻣﺎم ﺻﺎدق ﻋﻠﯿﻪ اﻟﺴﻼم ﺑﺮاي ﺷﻔﺎي ﺑﯿﻤﺎر، ﭼﻬﻞ ﺑﺎر ﺑﻌﺪ از ﻧﻤﺎز ﺻﺒﺢ(5).

(9 ﺧﺘﻢ ﺳﻮره ﺣﻤـﺪ ﺑﻪ ﻣـﺪّت ﭼﻬﻞ روز ﺑﺮاي اداي دَﯾﻦ، ﮐﻪ آﻏﺎزش از روز ﺟﻤﻌﻪ ﺑﺎﺷـﺪ و ﺑﻬﺘﺮﯾﻦ ﺳﺎﻋﺎت آن ﺑﻌﺪ از ﻧﻤﺎز ﺻـﺒﺢ اﺳﺖ(6).

(10 ﺧﺘﻢ آﯾﻪ ﺷـﺮﯾﻔﻪ ي: »آﯾﻪ اﻟﮑﺮﺳـﯽ« ﺑﺮاي ﻃﻠﺐ ﻇﻬﻮر ﺣﻀـﺮت وﻟﯽ ﻋﺼﺮ ارواﺣﻨﺎ ﻓﺪاه، ﺑﻪ ﻣﺪت ﭼﻬﻞ روز، ﺑﻪ ﻃﺮﯾﻖ ﻣﺄﺛﻮر از اﻣﯿﺮﻣﻮءﻣﻨﺎن ﻋﻠﯿﻪ اﻟﺴﻼم (7).

44. Khatm (Completion) of Supplications and Invocations

The supplications (duʿāʾ) and invocations (adhkār) that have been recommended by the infallible leaders of Islam, whether for religious or worldly purposes, are very numerous. Here, we will only mention some of those which are instructed to be recited forty times, or over forty days, or forty weeks:

1.         Duʿāʾ al-ʿAhd, transmitted from Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.), to be recited for forty mornings during the period of occultation, for attaining the presence and the return of the Imam of Light.

2.         A supplication narrated from the Noble Prophet (s.a.w.a.) for the forgiveness of sins, to be recited for forty consecutive Friday nights.

3.         A supplication narrated from Amir al-Muʾminīn Ali (a.s.) with the same feature.

4.         The supplication Sariʿ al-Ijābah, narrated from the Master of the Pious (Amir al-Muʾminīn (a.s.)), for solving difficulties, to be recited for forty consecutive Friday nights.

5.         Another supplication from Amir al-Muʾminīn (a.s.) with similar features, which he taught to Uways al-Qaranī.

6.         The khatm of forty Sūrat al-Ḥamd for healing the sick, as transmitted from the Noble Prophet (s.a.w.a.).

7.         The khatm of forty Sūrat al-Ḥamd for those stung by a scorpion.

8.         A supplication narrated from Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) for healing the sick, to be recited forty times after the morning prayer.

9.         Completing Sūrat al-Ḥamd for forty days to pay off debts, beginning on a Friday, and the best time for this being after the morning prayer.

10.       The completion (khatm) of the noble verse Āyat al-Kursī for seeking the reappearance of the Master of the Age (may our souls be his ransom), for a period of forty days, according to a tradition transmitted from Amir al-Muʾminīn Ali (a.s.).
