S 56 Ayat 34

قوله تعالى:

وَ فُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ [34]

"And exalted couches" [Surah Al-Wāqi‘ah 56:34, M. H. Shakir]

99-/10403 _1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ:عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،عَنْ أَبِيهِ،عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ،عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ

الْمَدَنِيِّ،عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ):«قَالَ عَلِيٌّ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ،أَخْبِرْنَا عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: غُرَفٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهٰا غُرَفٌ [1]،بِمَاذَا بُنِيَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟فَقَالَ:يَا عَلِيُّ،تِلْكَ غُرَفٌ بَنَاهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لِأَوْلِيَائِهِ بِالدُّرِّ وَ الْيَاقُوتِ وَ الزَّبَرْجَدِ،سُقُوفُهَا الزَّبَرْجَدُ [2]مَحْبُوكَةً بِالْفِضَّةِ،لِكُلِّ غُرْفَةٍ،مِنْهَا أَلْفُ بَابٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ عَلَى كُلِّ بَابٍ مَلَكٌ مُوَكَّلٌ بِهِ، فِيهَا فُرُشٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ مِنَ الْحَرِيرِ وَ الدِّيبَاجِ بِأَلْوَانٍ مُخْتَلِفَةٍ،حَشْوُهَا الْمِسْكُ وَ الْكَافُورُ وَ الْعَنْبَرُ،وَ ذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: وَ فُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ ».

99-/10403 Muḥammad ibn Yaʿqūb: from ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm, from his father, from Ibn Maḥbūb, from Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq al-Madanī, from Abū Jaʿfar (peace be upon him), who said:

ʿAlī (peace be upon him) said: *“O Messenger of Allah, inform us about the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: ‘Chambers raised high, above them other chambers’ [Surah Al-Zumar 39:20, M. H. Shakir]— with what are they built, O Messenger of Allah?”

He said: “O ʿAlī, those are chambers which Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has built for His friends from pearls, rubies, and chrysolite. Their ceilings are chrysolite, interwoven with silver. Each chamber has a thousand doors of gold, and on each door is an angel appointed over it. Within them are exalted couches, some above others, of silk and brocade in various colors. Their stuffing is musk, camphor, and ambergris. And that is His saying, the Exalted: *‘And exalted couches.’” [Surah Al-Wāqiʿah 56:34, M. H. Shakir]
