استغاثه‌ي دوم: آن وقتي كه جنگ در پيوست، و امر سخت شد بر آن جناب، و زنان مضطرب شدند به صداي بلند فرياد نمود، كه آيا كسي هست كه از ما دفع نمايد شر دشمنان را؟ [951] پس آن ندا تأثير كرد در زناني كه همراه آن جناب بودند، و ايشان را به هيجان آورد كه دست از اولاد، و ازواج برداشتند، اينكه بعضي خود را به كشتن دادند، چنانكه بيايد (ان شاء الله) در عنوان شهداء.پس هر گاه اين استغاثه زنان عجايز را به حركت آورد، و لبيك گفتند به بذل اولاد عزيز خود، پس سزاوار است، كه دوستان در نزد تصور آن به حركت آنيد، و اجابت كنند آن ندا را به تلبيه، و بگويند: لبيك داعي الله تا آخر زيارت.

At the Outbreak of the Battle

The Second Appeal:

When the battle commenced and the situation became severe for that noble one (a.s.), and the women became distressed, he cried out in a loud voice:

“Is there anyone who will protect us from the evil of these enemies?” [951]

This cry had such an effect upon the women who were with him that it stirred them deeply and filled them with resolve.

They became willing to part with their children and husbands.

Some even offered their loved ones for martyrdom, as will be mentioned, Allah willing, in the section concerning the martyrs.

Therefore, if this appeal moved elderly women to action, and they answered it by sacrificing their beloved sons, then it is fitting that the lovers of the Imam (a.s.), when they bring this scene to mind, should also be moved and respond to that call by reciting the talbiyah and saying:

«لبيك داعي الله»

“Labbayk, O Caller to Allah,”

and continue with the remainder of the ziyārah.
