The Virtue of Surah Al-Dhuda

99-/11697 _1- وَ مِنْ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ):رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)،أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ،وَجَبَتْ لَهُ شَفَاعَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ،وَ كَتَبَ لَهُ مِنَ الْحَسَنَاتِ بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ سَائِلٍ وَ يَتِيمٍ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ،وَ إِنْ كَتَبَهَا عَلَى اسْمِ غَائِبٍ ضَالٍّ رَجَعَ إِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ سَالِماً،وَ مَنْ نَسِيَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ شَيْئاً ثُمَّ ذَكَرَهُ وَ قَرَأَهَا،حَفِظَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى أَنْ يَأْخُذَهُ».

99-/11697 _1- Among the special merits of the Qur’an: It is narrated from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) that he said: “Whoever recites this surah, the intercession of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله) will be guaranteed for him on the Day of Resurrection. And for him will be written ten good deeds for every beggar and orphan. And if it is written on behalf of a missing person, he will return to his companions safe. And whoever forgets something in a place and then remembers and recites it, Allah will preserve it for him until he retrieves it.”

99-/11698 _2- وَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ): «مَنْ أَدْمَنَ قِرَاءَتَهَا عَلَى اسْمِ صَاحِبٍ لَهُ،رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ صَاحِبُهُ سَرِيعاً سَالِماً».

99-/11698 _2- The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) said: “Whoever continuously recites it [this surah] with the name of a companion of his, his companion will return to him swiftly and safely.”

99-/11699 _3- وَ قَالَ الصَّادِقُ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «مَنْ أَكْثَرَ قِرَاءَةَ(وَ الشَّمْسِ)،(وَ اللَّيْلِ)،(وَ الضُّحَى)وَ(أَ لَمْ نَشْرَحْ)فِي يَوْمٍ أَوْ لَيْلَةٍ،لَمْ يَبْقَ شَيْءٌ بِحَضْرَتِهِ إِلاَّ شَهِدَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ،حَتَّى شَعْرُهُ وَ بَشَرُهُ وَ لَحْمُهُ وَ دَمُهُ وَ عُرُوقُهُ وَ عَصَبُهُ وَ عِظَامُهُ».

99-/11699 _3- Al-Sadiq (عليه السلام) said: “Whoever frequently recites (وَ الشَّمْسِ), (وَ اللَّيْلِ), (وَ الضُّحَى), and (أَ لَمْ نَشْرَحْ) during the day or night, there will not remain anything in his presence except that it will bear witness for him on the Day of Resurrection—even his hair, skin, flesh, blood, veins, nerves, and bones.”
