S 57 Ayat 4

قوله تعالى:

هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمٰاوٰاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيّٰامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ [4]

His saying, the Most High: "He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He mounted the Throne"

 /10469 _1-علي بن إبراهيم،في قوله تعالى: هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمٰاوٰاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيّٰامٍ أي في ستة أوقات.

99-/10469 _1- ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm, regarding His saying, the Most High: "هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمٰاوٰاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيّٰامٍ" — He said: In six periods (awqāt).

99-/10470 _2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ:عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى،عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ،عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ،عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ،قَالَ:سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ الْخَيْرَ يَوْمَ الْأَحَدِ،وَ مَا كَانَ لِيَخْلُقَ الشَّرَّ قَبْلَ الْخَيْرِ،وَ فِي يَوْمِ الْأَحَدِ وَ الْإِثْنَيْنِ خَلَقَ الْأَرَضِينَ،وَ خَلَقَ أَقْوَاتَهَا فِي يَوْمِ الثَّلاَثَاءِ،وَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ يَوْمَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ وَ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ، وَ خَلَقَ أَقْوَاتَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ،وَ ذَلِكَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: خَلَقَ السَّمٰاوٰاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ وَ مٰا بَيْنَهُمٰا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيّٰامٍ [2]».

و معنى اِسْتَوىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ تقدم في سورة طه [3].

99-/10470 _2- Muḥammad ibn Yaʿqūb: from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad, from Ibn Maḥbūb, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sinān, who said: I heard Abā ʿAbd Allāh (ʿalayhis-salām) say: "Surely Allah created good on Sunday, and it was not befitting that He create evil before good. On Sunday and Monday, He created the earths; He created their sustenance on Tuesday; and He created the heavens on Wednesday and Thursday; and He created their sustenance on Friday. And that is the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: 'He created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days' [Qur'an 50:38]."

And the meaning of "ثُمَّ اسْتَوىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ" (then He settled on the Throne) has already been discussed under Sūrat Ṭāhā.
