S 29 Ayat 25 to 26

قوله تعالى:

وَ قٰالَ إِنَّمَا اتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ أَوْثٰاناً مَوَدَّةَ بَيْنِكُمْ -إلى قوله تعالى- إِنِّي مُهٰاجِرٌ إِلىٰ

رَبِّي [25-26]

(Surah Al-ʿAnkabūt, 29:25-26)

And he said: You have only taken idols besides Allah by way of friendship between you in this world's life, then on the resurrection day some of you shall deny others and some of you shall curse others, and your abode is the fire, and you shall not have any helpers. And Lut believed in Him, and he said: I am fleeing to my Lord, surely He is the Mighty, the Wise.

99-/8262 _2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ:عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،عَنْ أَبِيهِ،عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ،عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ بُرَيْدٍ،عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الزُّبَيْرِيِّ،عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،قَالَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: وَ قٰالَ إِنَّمَا اتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ أَوْثٰاناً مَوَدَّةَ بَيْنِكُمْ فِي الْحَيٰاةِ الدُّنْيٰا ثُمَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰامَةِ يَكْفُرُ بَعْضُكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ وَ يَلْعَنُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً ،قَالَ:«يَعْنِي يَتَبَرَّأُ بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ».

99-/8262 _2- Muḥammad ibn Yaʿqūb narrated: From ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm, from his father, from Bakr ibn Ṣāliḥ, from al-Qāsim ibn Burayd, from Abū ʿAmr al-Zubayrī, from Abū ʿAbdillāh (peace be upon him), who said regarding the saying of Allah, the Exalted:

وَ قٰالَ إِنَّمَا اتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ أَوْثٰاناً مَوَدَّةَ بَيْنِكُمْ فِي الْحَيٰاةِ الدُّنْيٰا ثُمَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰامَةِ يَكْفُرُ بَعْضُكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ وَ يَلْعَنُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً (And he said: You have only taken idols besides Allah by way of friendship between you in this world's life, then on the resurrection day some of you shall deny others and some of you shall curse others) [Surah Al-ʿAnkabūt, 29:25, M. He (peace be upon him) said: "It means: some of you will disassociate (تبرّأ) from others."

/8263 _3-علي بن إبراهيم: فَآمَنَ لَهُ لُوطٌ أي لإبراهيم(عليه السلام) وَ قٰالَ إِنِّي مُهٰاجِرٌ إِلىٰ رَبِّي ،قال:

المهاجر من هجر السيئات،و تاب إلى اللّه.

/8263 _3- ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm said regarding:

فَآمَنَ لَهُ لُوطٌ (And Lūṭ believed in him) He explained: meaning Lūṭ believed in Ibrāhīm (peace be upon him).

And regarding: وَ قٰالَ إِنِّي مُهٰاجِرٌ إِلىٰ رَبِّي (And he said: I am fleeing to my Lord) He said: The true migrant (muhājir) is the one who abandons sins and repents to Allah.

99-/8264 _4- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ:بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ،عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ،عَنْ زُرَارَةَ،عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)، قَالَ: «فَآمَنَ لَهُ لُوطٌ،وَ خَرَجَ مُهَاجِراً إِلَى الشَّامِ هُوَ وَ سَارَةُ وَ لُوطٌ».

99-/8264 _4- Muḥammad ibn Yaʿqūb narrated: Through his chain from Abān, from Muḥammad ibn Marwān, from Zurārah, from Abū Jaʿfar (peace be upon him), who said:

**"فَآمَنَ لَهُ لُوطٌ (And Lūṭ believed in him) [Surah Al-ʿAnkabūt, 29:26, M. H. Shakir]

And he (Ibrāhīm) went forth migrating to Shām (the Levant), along with Sārah and Lūṭ."**

/8265 _5-وَ عَنْهُ:عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،عَنْ أَبِيهِ،وَ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا،عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ جَمِيعاً،عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ،عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْكَرْخِيِّ،قَالَ:سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،وَ ذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ مُهَاجَرَةِ

إِبْرَاهِيمَ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،وَ ذَكَرَ فِي آخِرِهِ: «وَ سَارَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)حَتَّى نَزَلَ بِأَعْلَى الشَّامَاتِ،وَ خَلَّفَ لُوطاً(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)فِي أَدْنَى الشَّامَاتِ»وَ الْحَدِيثُ طَوِيلٌ،يَأْتِي بِطُولِهِ-إِنِ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى-فِي سُورَةِ الصَّافَّاتِ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: إِنِّي ذٰاهِبٌ إِلىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ [1].

/8265 _5- And from him: From ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm, from his father, and a group of our companions, from Sahl ibn Ziyād all together, from al-Ḥasan ibn Maḥbūb, from Ibrāhīm ibn Abī Ziyād al-Karkhī, who said:

I heard Abū ʿAbdillāh (peace be upon him), and he mentioned the narration about the migration (muhājara) of Ibrāhīm (peace be upon him). At the end of it, he said:

"And Ibrāhīm (peace be upon him) continued until he settled in the upper part of the Levant (Shāmāt), and he left Lūṭ (peace be upon him) in the lower part of the Levant."

And the narration is lengthy and will appear in full—if Allah, the Exalted, wills—in Surah Al-Ṣāffāt regarding His saying, the Exalted:

إِنِّي ذٰاهِبٌ إِلىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ (Indeed, I am going to my Lord, He will guide me) [Surah Al-Ṣāffāt, 37:99, M. H. Shakir].
