Hud Ayah 15-16
Translation (M. H. Shakir):
Or, do they say: He has forged it? Say: Then bring ten chapters like it, forged, and call upon whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful. But if they do not answer you, then know that it is revealed by Allah’s knowledge, and that there is no god but He; will you then submit?
Its meaning was already brought in the previous verse from al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), from it to ten verses, up to His saying: Are the two alike in likeness? Will you not then mind?
/5037 _1-
Translation:
/5037 _1-
“As for His saying: Or do they say … to His saying: if you are truthful: it means their statement that Allah did not command him regarding the wilayah of ‘Ali, and that he is only saying about him from himself. So Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: But if they do not answer you, then know that it is revealed by Allah’s knowledge, that is, with the wilayah of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) from Allah.”
Translation (M. H. Shakir):
Whoever desires this world’s life and its adornment, We will fully repay them their deeds therein, and they shall not be made to suffer loss therein. These are they for whom there is nothing in the hereafter but the fire, and what they wrought in it is vain and fruitless is what they do.
Translation:
“And befriend whoever befriends him, and oppose whoever opposes him, and support whoever supports him, and forsake whoever forsakes him.” Then the skeptics, the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts was disease and deviation said: “We disavow his statement before Allah; it is not obligatory, and we are not pleased that ‘Ali should be his vizier—this is mere partisanship from him.” Salman, al-Miqdad, Abu Dharr, and ‘Ammar ibn Yasir said: “By Allah, we had not left the plain before this verse was revealed: This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion.” The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) repeated that three times, then said: “Indeed, the perfection of the religion, the completion of the blessing, and the Lord’s good pleasure are through my being sent to you with the wilayah after me for ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).”

‘Ali ibn Ibrahim, regarding His saying: Whoever desires this world’s life and its adornment, We will fully repay them their deeds therein, and they shall not be made to suffer loss therein—
Translation:
Those are they for whom there is nothing in the hereafter but the Fire. He said: Whoever does good on condition that Allah give him its recompense in this world, Allah gives him his recompense in this world, and for him in the Hereafter is the Fire.

Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub—from ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, and ‘Ali ibn Muhammad al-Qāsānī together, from al-Qāsim ibn Muhammad, from Sulaymān ibn Dāwūd al-Minqarī, from Sufyān ibn ‘Uyaynah, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him)—said: “A man asked my father after his return from the standing (at ‘Arafah), saying: ‘Do you think Allah answers all these people?’ My father said: ‘No one stood at this standing except that Allah forgave him, whether he was a believer or an unbeliever; except that they are, in their forgiveness, upon three ranks’—and he mentioned the three ranks, then said about the third—‘and an unbeliever who stood at this standing, [seeking] the adornment of the life of this world: Allah forgave him what has preceded of his sin; if he repents from shirk during what remains of his life, [then so it is], and if he does not repent, He pays him his recompense in full and does not deprive him of the reward of this standing. And that is His saying, Mighty and Majestic: Whoever desires this world’s life and its adornment, We will fully repay them their deeds therein, and they shall not be made to suffer loss therein. These are they for whom there is nothing in the hereafter but the Fire, and what they wrought in it is vain and fruitless is what they do.’”
Its full text has already preceded under His saying: So when you have performed your acts of devotion, then laud Allah as you lauded your fathers.

Al-‘Ayyāshī—from ‘Ammār ibn Suwayd—said: I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him) say: “Whoever desires this world’s life and its adornment—meaning so-and-so and so-and-so—We will fully repay them their deeds therein.”
Translation (M. H. Shakir):
Is he then who has with him clear proof from his Lord, and a witness from Him follows him, and before it is the Book of Musa a guide and a mercy? These believe in it; and whoever of the (confederate) parties disbelieves in it, the fire is his promised place; be not then in doubt thereon: surely it is the truth from your Lord, but most men do not believe.
