Chapter of Idrīs (a.s.) and Imam Husain (a.s.)
Chapter of Idrīs (a.s.) and Imam Husain (a.s.)
Allah raised Idrīs (a.s.) to a lofty station between the fourth and fifth heavens. [1358]
And Imam Husain (a.s.) was raised to a lofty station. His soul was raised to a lofty station, his blood was raised to a lofty station, his likeness was raised to a lofty station, and his soil was raised to a lofty station, as the details of these have already been mentioned in their appropriate places.
The intercession of Idrīs (a.s.) on behalf of one angel was accepted. [1359]
And the intercession of Imam Husain (a.s.) was accepted on behalf of two angels, namely Fiṭrus and Dardāʾīl. [1360]
Idrīs (a.s.) was afflicted with fleeing from a ruler, the dispersal of his supporters, and he remained hungry for three days. [1361]
Likewise, Imam Husain (a.s.) was afflicted with departing in order to avoid being killed within the sanctuary of Allah out of reverence for that sacred place. He was also afflicted with combat and remained thirsty for three days, until his sister, in her lamentation, would say:
“May I be sacrificed for you, O one who was killed with thirsty lips.” [1362]
Chapter of Nūḥ (a.s.)
Nūḥ (a.s.) is the Shaykh of the Messengers, and Imam Husain (a.s.) is the Master of the Youths of Paradise.
The dwelling of Nūḥ (a.s.) is honoured, namely the Mosque of Kūfah. [1363]
And the burial place of Imam Husain (a.s.) is more honoured than the Mosque of Kūfah in several respects. [1364]
Regarding Nūḥ (a.s.), Allah says:
“Peace be upon Nūḥ among all the worlds.” (Surah al-Ṣāffāt 37:79) [1365]
For the salvation of the people of the Ark came through him.
Likewise, Imam Husain (a.s.) is a means of salvation from Hellfire.
Nūḥ (a.s.) possessed an ark that sailed upon the waters.
And Imam Husain (a.s.) is that Ark of Salvation; whoever takes refuge in it will be saved from the levels of Hell. [1366]
Nūḥ (a.s.) called his people toward Allah for nine hundred and fifty years. They would strike him to such an extent that he would fall unconscious for three days, and blood would flow from his ears. [1367]
And Imam Husain (a.s.) called his people for half a day. Then they struck him in such a manner that for three days his headless body remained upon the earth, while blood flowed from all of his limbs. [1368]
Thus, the suffering inflicted upon that noble one (a.s.) in those hours was greater than the sufferings endured by Nūḥ (a.s.) over a thousand years.
