صفات شجاعت، عبادت و رعايت حقوق

ديگر، صفت شجاعت است و آن حضرت در اين صفت به مقامي رسيد كه شجاعت حسينيه را مثل سائر نمود، و از حيدر صفدر اين مقدار در حيز بروز و ظهور نرسيد.ديگر، صفت عبادت است كه از وقتي كه در شكم مادر بود، مادر صداي تسبيح او را مي‌شنيد [191] ، تا وقتي كه سرش را بر نيزه نمودند قرائت قرآن مي‌نمود و. [192] ، و در اين خاصيت علاوه است بر آنچه حضرت سجاد فرمود: در جواب شخصي كه از آن جناب سؤال نمود، چرا اولاد والد ماجدت كم است؟ فرمود: عجب آن است كه ما چگونه متولد شديم و حال آنكه آنحضرت هر شب هزار ركعت نماز مي‌كرد.صفت ديگر، رعايت حقوق است، عبدالرحمن سلمي يكي از اولادان حضرت را سوره‌ي حمد تعليم نمود پس آن حضرت هزار دينار و هزار حله باو عطا نمود و دهان او را پر نمود از در، و فرمود: حق او زياده بر اين است. Concerning the Qualities of Courage, Worship, and Observing Rights

Another quality was courage.

That noble Imam (a.s.) attained such a station in this quality that Husaini courage became proverbial, and even from Haydar al-Safdar (Imam Ali (a.s.)), this degree of manifestation and outward display did not appear.

Another quality was worship.

From the time he was in his mother's womb, his mother could hear the sound of his glorification (tasbīḥ). [191]

Until the time when his blessed head was raised upon a spear, he was reciting the Qur'an. [192]

And in this characteristic he surpassed even that which Imam al-Sajjad (a.s.) stated in response to a man who asked him:

“Why are the descendants of your noble father so few?”

He replied:

“The wonder is not why our descendants are few; rather, the wonder is how we were born at all, when that noble Imam used to perform one thousand rakʿahs of prayer every night.”

Another quality was his observance of people's rights.

ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Sulami taught Sūrat al-Ḥamd to one of the children of Imam Husain (a.s.).

The Imam (a.s.) then gave him one thousand dinars and one thousand garments, filled his mouth with pearls, and said:

“His right upon me is greater than this.” [193]
