Al-Hajj Ayah 47

الحجّ آيه 47

وَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: وَ بِئْرٍ مُعَطَّلَةٍ وَ قَصْرٍ مَشِيدٍ قَالَ:«الْبِئْرُ الْمُعَطَّلَةُ:اَلْإِمَامُ الصَّامِتُ،وَ الْقَصْرُ الْمَشِيدُ:اَلْإِمَامُ النَّاطِقُ».

- I asked him about the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: “And a deserted well and a lofty palace.” He said: “The deserted well is the silent Imam, and the lofty palace is the speaking Imam.”

99-/7376 _7- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ،قَالَ:حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ،عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ،عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ،قَالَ:سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)يَقُولُ: «قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: وَ بِئْرٍ مُعَطَّلَةٍ وَ قَصْرٍ مَشِيدٍ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ):اَلْقَصْرُ الْمَشِيدُ،وَ الْبِئْرُ الْمُعَطَّلَةُ:فَاطِمَةُ(عَلَيْهَا السَّلاَمُ)وَ وَلَدُهَا،مُعَطَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُلْكِ».

99-/7376 _7- Muhammad b. al-‘Abbas, said: He related to us al-Husayn b. ‘Amir, from Muhammad b. al-Husayn, from al-Rabi‘ b. Muhammad, from Salih b. Sahl, who said: I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him) say: “Allah’s saying: ‘And a deserted well and a lofty palace’—the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) is the lofty palace, and the deserted well is Fatimah (peace be upon her) and her children—kept from (their) sovereignty.”

99-/7377 _8- ابْنُ شَهْرِ آشُوبَ:عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ الصَّادِقِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) ،فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: وَ بِئْرٍ مُعَطَّلَةٍ وَ قَصْرٍ مَشِيدٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:«رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)الْقَصْرُ الْمَشِيدُ،وَ الْبِئْرُ الْمُعَطَّلَةُ عَلِيٌّ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)».

99-/7377 _8- Ibn Shahr Ashub: from Ja‘far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), regarding His saying, the Exalted: “And a deserted well and a lofty palace,” that he said: “The Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) is the lofty palace, and the deserted well is ‘Ali (peace be upon him).”

99-/7378 _9- عَلِيُّ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ:عَنْ أَخِيهِ مُوسَى(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،قَالَ: «الْبِئْرُ الْمُعَطَّلَةُ:اَلْإِمَامُ الصَّامِتُ،وَ الْقَصْرُ الْمَشِيدُ:

الْإِمَامُ النَّاطِقُ».

99-/7378 _9- ‘Ali b. Ja‘far: from his brother Musa (peace be upon him), who said: “The deserted well is the silent Imam, and the lofty palace is the speaking Imam.”

قوله تعالى:

وَ يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذٰابِ وَ لَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللّٰهُ وَعْدَهُ وَ إِنَّ يَوْماً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِمّٰا تَعُدُّونَ [47]

- Quran 22:47 (M. H. Shakir): And they ask you to hasten on the punishment, and Allah will by no means fail in His promise; and surely a day with your Lord is as a thousand years of what you number.

99-/7379 _1- علي بن إبراهيم:و ذلك أن رسول اللّه(صلّى اللّه عليه و آله)أخبرهم أن العذاب قد أتاهم،فقالوا:فأين العذاب؟استعجلوه،فقال اللّه: وَ إِنَّ يَوْماً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِمّٰا تَعُدُّونَ .

99-/7379 _1- ‘Ali b. Ibrahim: That was because the Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) informed them that the punishment had come upon them, so they said: “Where is the punishment?” They sought to hasten it; so Allah said: “And surely a day with your Lord is as a thousand years of what you number.”

99-/7380 _2- الشَّيْخُ فِي(أَمَالِيهِ)قَالَ:أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ،قَالَ:أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ،قَالَ:حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي،قَالَ:حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ،عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَاسَانِيِّ [1]،عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ [2] الْمِنْقَرِيِّ،عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ،قَالَ:قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ(عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ): «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ لاَ يَسْأَلَ اللَّهَ شَيْئاً إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ فَلْيَيْأَسْ مِنَ النَّاسِ كُلِّهِمْ،وَ لاَ يَكُونُ لَهُ رَجَاءٌ إِلاَّ مِنْ

99-/7380 _2- The Shaykh in (his Amali) said: Muhammad b. Muhammad b. al-Nu‘man informed us, who said: Abu al-Hasan Ahmad b. Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. al-Walid informed us, who said: My father narrated to me, who said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us, from ‘Ali b. Muhammad al-Qasani [1], from Sulayman b. Dawud [2] al-Minqari, from Hafs b. Ghiyath, who said: Abu ‘Abdillah Ja‘far b. Muhammad (peace be upon them) said: “If one of you wants that he not ask Allah for anything except that He gives it to him, then let him despair of all people, and let him have no hope except in

عِنْدِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ،فَإِذَا عَلِمَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قِبَلِهِ لَمْ يَسْأَلِ اللَّهَ شَيْئاً إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ؛أَلاَ فَحَاسِبُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُحَاسَبُوا،فَإِنَّ فِي الْقِيَامَةِ خَمْسِينَ مَوْقِفاً،كُلُّ مَوْقِفٍ[مِثْلُ]أَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِمَّا تَعُدُّونَ-ثُمَّ تَلاَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ- فِي يَوْمٍ كٰانَ مِقْدٰارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ [1]».

99-/7380 _2- with Allah, Mighty and Majestic. When Allah knows that from him, he will not ask Allah for anything but that He gives it to him. Behold, take account of yourselves before you are brought to account, for on the Day of Resurrection there are fifty stations; each station is [like] a thousand years of what you count”—then he recited this verse—“In a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years” [1].

- Quran 70:4 (M. H. Shakir): To Him ascend the angels and the Spirit in a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years.

وَ رَوَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ:عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،عَنْ أَبِيهِ،وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً،عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ،عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ،عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ،قَالَ:قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ):«إِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ لاَ يَسْأَلَ رَبَّهُ شَيْئاً إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ»وَ سَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى آخِرِهِ،إِلاَّ أَنَّ فِيهِ:«مِقْدَارُهُ أَلْفُ سَنَةٍ»ثُمَّ تَلاَ،إِلَى آخِرِهِ [2].

99-/7380 _2- And it was narrated by Muhammad b. Ya‘qub: from ‘Ali b. Ibrahim, from his father, and from ‘Ali b. Muhammad together, from al-Qasim b. Muhammad, from Sulayman b. Dawud al-Minqari, from Hafs b. Ghiyath, who said: Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him) said: “If one of you wants that he not ask his Lord for anything except that He gives it to him,” and he continued the hadith to its end, except that in it is: “its measure is a thousand years,” then he recited, to its end [2].

و سيأتي-إن شاء اللّه تعالى-في قوله تعالى: فِي يَوْمٍ كٰانَ مِقْدٰارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ من سورة المعارج [3].

- And it will come—Allah, the Exalted, willing—under His saying: “In a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years,” from Surat al-Ma‘arij [3].

99-/7381 _3- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ:عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،عَنْ أَبِيهِ،عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ،عَنْهُمْ(عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ)،فِي حَدِيثِ مَا وَعَظَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بِهِ عِيسَى(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،وَ فِيهِ: «يَا عِيسَى،تُبْ إِلَيَّ،فَإِنِّي لاَ يتَعَاظَمُنِي ذَنْبٌ أَنْ أَغْفِرَهُ،وَ أَنَا أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ:اِعْمَلْ لِنَفْسِكَ فِي مُهْلَةٍ مِنْ أَجَلِكَ،قَبْلَ أَنْ لاَ تَعْمَلَ لَهَا [4]،وَ اعْبُدْنِي لِيَوْمٍ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِمَّا تَعُدُّونَ، فِيهِ أَجْزِي بِالْحَسَنَةِ أَضْعَافَهَا،وَ إِنَّ السَّيِّئَةَ تُوبِقُ صَاحِبَهَا».

99-/7381 _3- Muhammad b. Ya‘qub: from ‘Ali b. Ibrahim, from his father, from ‘Ali b. Asbat, from them (peace be upon them), in the account of what Allah, Mighty and Majestic, admonished Jesus (peace be upon him) with, and in it: “O Jesus, turn to Me in repentance, for no sin is too great for Me that I should not forgive it, and I am the most merciful of the merciful. Work for your own soul during the respite of your term before there comes when you cannot work for it [4], and worship Me for a day that is as a thousand years of what you count; in it I recompense the good deed with multiples, and surely the evil deed destroys its doer.”

قوله تعالى:

فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰالِحٰاتِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَ رِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ* وَ الَّذِينَ سَعَوْا فِي آيٰاتِنٰا مُعٰاجِزِينَ أُولٰئِكَ أَصْحٰابُ الْجَحِيمِ [50-51]

- Quran 22:50-51 (M. H. Shakir): Then as for those who believe and do good, they shall have forgiveness and an honorable sustenance. And (as for) those who strive to oppose Our communications, they shall be the inmates of the flaming fire.

99-/7382 _1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ،قَالَ:حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَمَّامٍ،عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْعَلَوِيِّ،عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ دَاوُدَ،عَنِ الْإِمَامِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ،عَنْ أَبِيهِ(عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ) ،فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰالِحٰاتِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَ رِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ .

قَالَ:«أُولَئِكَ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ(صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ)،وَ الَّذِينَ سَعَوْا فِي قَطْعِ مَوَدَّةِ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ(عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ)مُعَاجِزِينَ

99-/7382 _1- Muhammad b. al-‘Abbas, said: Muhammad b. Hammam narrated to us, from Muhammad b. Isma‘il al-‘Alawi, from ‘Isa b. Dawud, from Imam Musa b. Ja‘far, from his father (peace be upon them), regarding His saying, Mighty and Majestic: “Then as for those who believe and do good, they shall have forgiveness and an honorable sustenance.” He said: “Those are the family of Muhammad (may Allah’s blessings be upon them all), and those who strive to sever the love of the family of Muhammad (peace be upon them), seeking to outstrip (Us)…
