Sūrat al-Kawthar Its Virtue:

99-/11932 _1- ابْنُ بَابَوَيْهِ:بِإِسْنَادِهِ،عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ،عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،قَالَ: «مَنْ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَتُهُ:(إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ)فِي فَرَائِضِهِ وَ نَوَافِلِهِ،سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْكَوْثَرِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ،وَ كَانَ مُحَدَّثُهُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)فِي أَصْلِ طُوبَى».

99-/11932 _1- Ibn Bābawayh, through his chain of transmission, from Abū Baṣīr, from Abū ʿAbdillāh (peace be upon him), said:

“Whoever recites: ‘Surely We have given you Kawthar’ in his obligatory and supererogatory prayers, Allah will give him to drink from al-Kawthar on the Day of Resurrection, and his place of gathering will be with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) at the root of Ṭūbā.”

99-/11933 _2- وَ مِنْ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ):رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)،أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى مِنْ نَهْرِ الْكَوْثَرِ،وَ مِنْ كُلِّ نَهْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَ كَتَبَ لَهُ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ مَنْ قَرَّبَ قُرْبَاناً مِنَ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، وَ مَنْ قَرَأَهَا لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)فِي مَنَامِهِ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ،لاَ يَتَمَثَّلُ بِغَيْرِهِ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلاَّ كَمَا يَرَاهُ».

99-/11933 _2- And among the special merits of the Qur’an: It is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that he said:

“Whoever recites this surah, Allah the Exalted will give him to drink from the River al-Kawthar and from every river in Paradise. And He will write for him ten good deeds for every person who offered a sacrifice on the Day of Sacrifice. And whoever recites it one hundred times on the night of Jumuʿah (Friday), he will see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in his dream with his very eyes—not in the form of another person, but exactly as he would see him in real life.”

99-/11934 _3- وَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ): «مَنْ قَرَأَهَا سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ نَهْرِ الْكَوْثَرِ وَ مِنْ كُلِّ نَهْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ،وَ مَنْ قَرَأَهَا لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ مُكْمَلَةً رَأَى النَّبِيَّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)فِي مَنَامِهِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى».

99-/11934 _3- The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: “Whoever recites it, Allah will give him to drink from the River al-Kawthar and from every river in Paradise. And whoever recites it one hundred complete times on the night of Jumuʿah (Friday), he will see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in his dream, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted.”

99-/11935 _4- وَ قَالَ الصَّادِقُ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «مَنْ قَرَأَهَا بَعْدَ صَلاَةٍ يُصَلِّيهَا نِصْفَ اللَّيْلِ سِرّاً مِنْ لَيْلَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ أَلْفَ مَرَّةٍ مُكْمَلَةً رَأَى النَّبِيَّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)فِي مَنَامِهِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى».

99-/11935 _4- Al-Ṣādiq (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever recites it after a prayer that he performs in the middle of the night—secretly—on the night of Jumuʿah (Friday), one thousand complete times, will see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in his dream, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted.”
