The Virtue of Surah Al-Hadeed

99-/10458 _1- ابْنُ بَابَوَيْهِ:عَنْ أَبِيهِ،قَالَ:حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ،عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ،عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ،عَنِ الْحَسَنِ،عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَلاَءِ،عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْحَدِيدِ،وَ الْمُجَادَلَةِ فِي صَلاَةٍ فَرِيضَةٍ أَدْمَنَهَا،لَمْ يُعَذِّبْهُ اللَّهُ حَتَّى يَمُوتَ أَبَداً،وَ لاَ يَرَى فِي نَفْسِهِ وَ لاَ أَهْلِهِ سُوءاً أَبَداً،وَ لاَ خِصَامَةً فِي بَدَنِهِ».

Ibn Bābawayh: From his father, he said: Aḥmad ibn Idrīs narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn Ḥassān, from Ismāʿīl ibn Mihrān, from al-Ḥasan, from al-Ḥusayn ibn Abī al-ʿAlāʾ, from Abū ʿAbd Allāh (peace be upon him), who said:

"Whoever recites Sūrat al-Ḥadīd and al-Mujādalah in an obligatory prayer and adheres to it, Allah will never punish him until he dies, and he will never see evil in himself or his family, nor will there be any ailment or affliction in his body."

99-/10459 _2- الطَّبْرِسِيُّ:رَوَى عَمْرُو بْنُ شِمْرٍ،عَنْ جَابِرٍ الْجُعْفِيِّ،عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْمُسَبِّحَاتِ كُلَّهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ لَمْ يَمُتْ حَتَّى يُدْرِكَ الْقَائِمَ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،وَ إِنْ مَاتَ كَانَ فِي جِوَارِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)».

Al-Ṭabrisī: ʿAmr ibn Shimr narrated from Jābir al-Juʿfī, from Abū Jaʿfar (peace be upon him), who said:

"Whoever recites all of the Musabbiḥāt [i.e., the chapters that begin with the glorification of Allah] before going to sleep will not die until he meets the Qāʾim (peace be upon him), and if he does die, he will be in the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family)."

99-/10460 _3- وَ مِنْ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ):رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ كَانَ حَقّاً عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُؤْمِنَهُ مِنْ عَذَابِهِ،وَ أَنْ يُنْعِمَ عَلَيْهِ فِي جَنَّتِهِ.وَ مَنْ أَدْمَنَ قِرَاءَتَهَا وَ كَانَ مُقَيَّداً مَغْلُولاً مَسْجُوناً،سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ خُرُوجَهُ، وَ لَوْ كَانَ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْجِنَايَاتِ».

Among the special qualities of the Qur'an: It is narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) that he said:

"Whoever recites this surah, it is a duty upon Allah to protect him from His punishment and to bless him with His bounty in His Paradise. And whoever makes a habit of reciting it, even if he is bound in chains, shackled, or imprisoned, Allah will make his release easy — regardless of the offenses committed against him."

99-/10461 _4- وَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ): «مَنْ كَتَبَهَا وَ عَلَّقَهَا عَلَيْهِ وَ هُوَ فِي الْحَرْبِ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ سَهْمٌ وَ لاَ حَدِيدٌ، وَ كَانَ قَوِيَّ الْقَلْبِ فِي طَلَبِ الْقِتَالِ،وَ إِنْ قُرِئَتْ عَلَى مَوْضِعٍ فِيهِ حَدِيدٌ خَرَجَ مِنْ وَقْتِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَلَمٍ».

99-/10461 _4 The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) said:

"Whoever writes it (i.e., this Surah) and keeps it on him while in battle, no arrow or iron (weapon) will strike him, and he will have a strong heart in seeking combat. And if it is recited over a place where iron (is embedded in the body), it will come out immediately without pain."
