And from him: from Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa, from ‘Ali ibn al-Hakam, from Safwan the camel-driver, who said: There occurred some words between Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him) and ‘Abdullah ibn al-Hasan, until tumult arose between them and people gathered, and they parted that evening upon that. The next morning I went out on an errand, and there I was with Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him) at the door of ‘Abdullah ibn al-Hasan, and he was saying: “O girl, tell Abu Muhammad to come out.” He said: So he came out and said: “O Abu ‘Abdillah, what brought you so early?” He said: “Indeed I recited a verse in the Book of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, last night, and it unsettled me.” He said: “And what is it?” He said: “The saying of Allah, Exalted is His remembrance: Those who join that which Allah has commanded to be joined and have awe of their Lord and fear the evil reckoning.” He said: “You have spoken the truth; it is as if I had never read this verse from the Book of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, ever.” Then they embraced and wept.
